Make a Change Exchange

The youth exchange project “Make a Change Exchange funded by the Erasmus+ of the European Union, was held from July 27 – August 4 in Amsterdam. The youth exchange was co-ordinated and hosted by WOW Go Amsterdam. Partner countries involved were Romania, Spain, Poland and Slovakia.

25 youngsters age 13-17 years experienced an inspiring time together. New encounters have led to new friendships with peers from other countries. During one week the youngsters were introduced to each other, participated in energizers, namegames and found creative ways to show who they are, where they are from, what similarities they share as a European citizen, and what they could learn from different backgrounds and cultures. There was a positive group dynamic atmosphere and most of the activities took place at the Scouting in Amsterdam. There was a large variety of activities and workshops. One activity that was very impressive was a dinner at the World House, where migrants told something about themselves, and how they want to have a positive impact in their environment. The youngsters were divided in groups to explore the city of Amsterdam with a photo and filmcamera. They were challenged to prepare presentation material on how to ‘Make a Change’ in their own environment.

This project was financed by the Erasmus+ of the European Union.
